SIAM engineering was established in 1986, simultaneously with the first hatchery in Sète producing
2 000 000 seabass juveniles/year.

The association between engineering study and producing subsidiary is the base of SIAM's competences.

SIAM has attracted professional staff from various origins such as the French research center IFREMER, The Sciences University of Montpellier or The Agronomic National Institute, and retain excellent relationships with these institutions with are helpful for fondamental research.

At present our production units are:

• Cyclope, 1 300 000 seabass juveniles/year hatchery, located in Sète
• Labrax, 50 tons/year market size bass & bream farm, in Toulon bay
• Amma, 1 500 000 seabass juveniles/year hatchery, located in Turquey

The aquaculture know-how has been transfered to aquariology with design, engineering and setting up for aquariums. SIAM's experience in water teatment is a garantee of perfect water quality in all size aquariums, from private to hundreds of thousands liters on the public-type units.

The water-recirculating system is used since 1992, particularly on salmon hatcheries with better on-growing and profit results.

Concerning molluscs, SIAM's team has a wide experience in mass production of Mussel, Oyster and Clam. Our water traitment technology are currently applied to set-up refinement units among coastal mediterranean areas of production.
